Thundercat Charlotte Concert reviews
Biggest Disappointment Ever!
The Price Is Right show in Charlotte was a major disappointment for my daughter and me on April 10. The evening started on a bad note and went downhill from there, with a late start of 15 minutes.
I had high hopes for the event, assuming Drew Carey and his TV crew would be hosting, but that was not the case. Many in the audience shared this misconception. Shame on us for not reading the fine print.
In my experience attending various events in Charlotte, the TV casts have always delivered as advertised. However, Thundercat Live fell short. The show felt like a low-budget school play version of The Price Is Right. The announcer, emcee, and lone model were underwhelming. The contestants were selected randomly, lacking the charm and special effects seen on TV.
The format was a joke, and the prizes were lackluster except for a trip to Hawaii. The showcase contestants overbid on a trip to New Orleans, Paris, and a new car. The entire production lasted only one hour and fifteen minutes before the cast hurried off to Durham.
As a long-time fan of The Price Is Right, I was disappointed by this event. The energy level was low, and I left feeling shortchanged. My voice may be just one among many, but through social media, I will make sure it is heard far and wide.
